The Association of Lawyers for Animal Welfare will be hosting an ‘Animal welfare and Brexit’ workshop with the Wildlife and Countryside Link this November.
The workshop will ask: what are the biggest threats to animal welfare from Brexit? How can we use Brexit as an opportunity to increase protection for animals in the UK, and overseas? How can the animal protection community speak with one voice towards clear goals for animals during the Brexit negotiations?
Speakers will include lawyers and welfare specialists for animals in farms, laboratories and the wild. The workshop aims to equip the animal protection community with the necessary legal insights to effectively navigate Brexit, and to build strategies and communication channels for joined up action by campaigning and advocacy organisations.
Attendance at the workshop is by invitation only, extended to NGOs, academics and legal professionals. Find out more here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/animal-welfare-and-brexit-wo….
