The Animal Welfare Bill
The Animal Welfare Bill was introduced in the House of Commons on 13 October 2005. It completed Second Reading on 10 January. The Commons Committee considering the Bill completed its work on 26 January. Third reading and report stage are expected to take place shortly, after which the Bill will then go
to the Lords and back to the Commons if the Lords put down amendments, as
it is anticiapted that they will.
